Press Release: Dads take blogging scene by storm

Press release

15 June 2017

Dads take blogging scene by storm and take four out of 10 places in list of UK top bloggers

A recently-formed collective of blogging dads is celebrating after four of its members were named among the UK’s top 10 dad bloggers, with one taking first place.

John Adams (Dad Blog UK), Dave Hornby (The DADventurer), Tom Briggs (Diary of the Dad) and Simon Ragoonanan (Man vs. Pink) were named in first, third, fourth and eight places respectively in the Vuelio Top 10 UK Daddy Blogger list.

Along with Darren Coleshill of Photalife.com, the blogging fathers work collectively under the name of DigiDads, sourcing business leads and promoting each other’s work.

The list is published annually by Vuelio, which is widely recognised as the market leader in monitoring blogs and web-based media.

As a result, Vuelio’s top 10 lists of online influencers are highly regarded within the media, PR and SEO industries.

A 40% DigiDads presence in the top 10 underlines the group’s status as a collective of the UK’s leading dad bloggers.

“There is significantly more competition now than there was five years ago, so we’re immensely proud to have such a strong presence,” says group member John Adams.

“This demonstrates the rise of the dad blogger and that they have to be taken as seriously as beauty, fashion tech and mum bloggers,” adds Dave Hornby.

“Mums have long been recognised as social influencers but there has been a notable increase in brands wanting to work with dads over the last couple of years.”

DigiDads is a group of like-minded dad bloggers which collaborates with brands on PR campaigns.

With a combined experience of over 20 years, boasting 1.2 million social media impressions a month,70,000 monthly page views, more than 115,000 social media followers, the Digidads offer a multi-channel approach to helping brands reach their target audiences.

Successful DigiDads collaborations to date include Xbox, Thomas Cook, Iceland and Avis.
