Iceland Summer Ice Cream Campaign

Aim: Review and promote the Iceland Foods new ice cream range.

Deliverables: 5 x social media posts

Approach: One social media post on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook each over a 5-day

Pictured here is a little dish I have knocked together: vanilla ice cream served with honey poached peaches and mixed nuts with a simple raspberry sauce. I was challenged to come up with a creative way of serving ice cream by the guys at @icelandfoods In addition to being creative, I was to demonstrate Iceland’s #PowerOfFrozen concept: the idea that frozen food can be convenient, taste good and be easy to create. To make this dish, simple drain some tinned peaches and boil with half a cup of water and the same again of honey for a couple of minutes. Drain and place in the fridge to chill. Mill down some fresh raspberries using a food blender. Serve the Iceland easy-scoop ice cream and peaches in a bowl, sprinkle on the nuts and pour on the raspberry sauce. It is that simple! Tell me, have you any ideas for getting creative with ice cream? #ad #food #foodofig #icecream

Check out these bad boys! This is my new creation which I’ve dubbed The Uber Mint Choc Ice Cream Sandwich, or TUMCICS for short. I’m open to renaming suggestions, but I could totally see all the cool kids ordering a TUMCICS… Anyhoo, I discovered this the other day when it was hot – I wanted ice cream to cool down, but also needed my chocolate fix. So, I did what any maverick would do and combined the two together. As Aristotle famously said, “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts” and that is totally true in this case. Who knows, he may have even been talking about an ice cream sandwich when he said that sentence. The TUMCICS – see, it’s catching on – was made by sticking two Millie’s Cookies ready to bake triple chocolate cookie dough in the oven for 15 mins. Once cooked and cooled, I carefully cut a slab of @icelandfoods mint chocolate chip ice cream, before sandwiching it between the cookies. Because I could, I then added a cheeky square of mint Aero, which I cemented in place with some squirty cream.  The result was a fab mix of gooey, chocolate cookie with refreshing, minty ice cream. The perfect combo for hot weather…or cold…or tepid…or any weather to be honest.  Give it a go and let me know what you reckon. You can get all ingredients from Iceland (https://www.iceland.co.uk/), including their new range of ice creams.  #poweroffrozen #ad
